iTunes replacement software to better handle data on an iOS device and in the iTunes library on the PC. The complete iTunes library on the PC can be viewed and accessed. When looking at the iTunes Library, information is broken down by artist, album, genre, and more. Data on an iOS device is grouped into sections like Music and Video which makes it easier to find just the files that are wanted and make a copy of them. When selecting either the iTunes library or the connected iOS device, the layout displays the contents found therein. There are a couple of small tabs at the top of the interface to get access to the iTunes library or to a connected iOS device. The interface is big and blue with lots of white space and simple, small icons. No malicious software came installed with this utility which was good to see. The installation of PhoneTrans Pro went smoothly and held no surprises. The software can also rebuilt the iTunes library for those times when it gets corrupted. This can protect against upgraded apps where the new version was not to your liking and cannot easily be rolled back afterward. Apps and other data can be transferred in whole across to Windows as a copy for backup purposes. The software supports both USB 3.0 and Lightning connections for faster file transfers between the PC and iOS (and back again). Instead, users of PhoneTrans Pro can forget about iTunes forever and just use this software to connect to their iOS device and tranfer files between them. PhoneTrans Pro is the premium version of the iTunes replacement which lacks the occasional iTunes meltdown that can take all your installed music nicely cataloged with it.
